Ellie Hayward Student Member

Ellie graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2020 with a BA in Fine Art with a First Class Honours.

Alongside her printmaking practice she also works in sculpture. Within both mediums she explores ideas around space with a focus on liminal spaces. She is interested in the architectural language of everyday spaces such as thresholds and boundaries and how they create places of transition in our everyday lives.

"How we encounter different spaces and environments is never static and the way in which architecture directs and influences our behaviour/movement is something that I try to highlight in my work."

Ellie was awarded the Gwen May Recent Graduate award and so will be a Student Member with the RE for 2 years.
