Jo Barry has always loved the countryside even while she lived in London. Now that she lives in the New Forest she tries to say something about the ever changing mood of this ancient part of the world which is a constant inspiration. Because etching is a slow process, the original idea has to compete with the images from the plate as it is worked and proofed. She is never quite sure, until it appears, what the finished published edition will look like. For her that is part of the excitement.
